these 2 features combined make routing something like the 0-coast into the input great as well. the aux cv out is great for adding motion recording to any modular gear. this makes it an excellent effects box for something like a guitar or cell phone or whatever you want. and with the newest firmware you can actually boost the signal even further holding shift. I love mine, but i use it for utility more than as its own synth. you can even just use it as a midi drum pad controller which go for over 100 bucks themselves with less pads. these things go for as little as 200 now and is a steal at that price! it can do so many things. other devices like the minilogue are limited to 4 lanes of motion recording. and being able to motion record any knob on the device is really great and appreciated.

but patch flip and its own unique paraphonic sequencing etc are all really fun and inspiring as well. these things alone make the device worth it to me. since it adds a much needed filter and effects to the 0-coast, along with motion recording and a fully fledged cv sequencer.

(Doesn't help that so many videos underline how useful a Keystep /and/ Circuit/CMS combo is). it's pretty hard to regret that bit of GAS surely? Hopefully the sequencing will keep me happy, I went for it over the Keystep and the monosynth will suppress the desire for Behringer toys, but for £239.

Question: Does anyone have the Sound Designer's Guide they promote on the website, the PDF book? I keep trying to sign up to get it (and the Hackers' guide) with no luck - I found the hosted hackers' guide, but can't find the Circuit Sound Designer's Guide anywhere.

So in a few days, Covid-post permitting (it says they're in stock and so forth) I'll be reading this whole thread to learn how to make the best of the Mono Station.

ac.uk, you get a 25% discount code instantly for all Novation/Focusrite kit. Sold a bunch of stuff and was going to buy a Keystep, but had been regretting missing the black Friday/Boxing day sales where Circuit Monos were £239 in the UK.Īpril's sale is on and they're £239 again! Plus my partner's a student, so student discount applies (if you have. This can cover all the key instrumental parts, lead/bass/harmony/rhythm, etc, that's why it can be the hub/master sequencer of a normal lil'setup or such. OG Circuit has 4 parts (2 poly, 2 drums). Thing is you likely want to sequence more than just. If you have another mono synth that doesn't have its own sequencer (or one that's too basic), the CMS can do its own thing and on top of that come in and help that other mono synth/thing. Stating the obvious here, but mono tracks are only useful for mono things, like a bass + lead or such, for that it works. The CMS has technically 3 mono tracks, but using track 2 for external sequencing means losing/muting oscillator 2, which can be a big sacrifice, so let's call it 2.5 mono, anyway. BTW, does anybody have any experience using CMS as a sequencer for external synths? I read it's not as good in this role as the original Circuit? (for example, no polyphonic sequencing)I've done so a bit on occasions, sequencing (and processing through the ext in) my ReFace CS, or using the CV/Gate I/O to mate it with a Bitrazer for example.
